What We Actually Do
Most of the work we get calls for is what you'd expect on houses built between 1958 and 1987
Which covers the bulk of the homes around here. That's torsion springs that have gone past their cycle count, rollers that have worn grooves into the track, and openers from an earlier generation that don't talk to anything with a chip in it. We work on panels, cables, hinges, and the drums the cables wind onto. If a door is sagging on one side, we're usually looking at a broken cable or a bent track before we're looking at the opener.
We don't do new home construction framing or structural garage work
If your door problem turns out to be a header beam issue or something load-bearing, that's a call to a general contractor, not us. We'll tell you straight if that's what we're looking at instead of trying to make a garage door fix cover a carpentry problem.
Winters here get cold enough that hardened grease and contracted metal make springs and rollers fail at worse times than summer does
That's a factor in a lot of the no-heat, no-start calls we take, and it shapes which parts we carry on the truck for a given week.
Where We Travel
We're based out of Moses Lake and most of our calls stay close: Cascade Valley is about 3 miles from us, Moses Lake North around 5. We also get out to Warden, roughly 15 miles out, and Ephrata, about 18 miles. Four areas with a similar mix of 1960s and 70s houses, which means similar hardware showing up on the truck no matter which of the four we're headed to that day.
We don't advertise or route jobs outside that radius. If you're well past Ephrata or Warden, it's worth asking before you book, since drive time affects whether we can get to you same day.
Who You Are Dealing With
We're a garage door repair outfit working out of 6446 Road 3 NE in Moses Lake. No call center, no dispatch from another state - you call the number and talk to the people doing the work. We're not going to claim a founding date or a headcount we don't have listed anywhere, because that's not information we're putting on this page. What we can tell you is what we work on and where, which is above.
Around 2,782 of the roughly 6,972 households in our service area own their house rather than rent, and median household income here runs about $56,084. That matters to how we quote jobs - we'd rather tell you a torsion spring replacement makes more sense than a full door swap when that's true, instead of upselling a repair into a replacement because it's a bigger ticket. Sometimes replacement really is the better call, usually when a door from the 1960s stock has a cracked panel or hardware nobody makes parts for anymore. We'll say which situation you're in.
